Independent guide to retaining wall costs, contractors and repair. We’re a directory, not a contractor.

About RetainingWallGuide

We help homeowners understand retaining wall costs, repairs and drainage, and find contractors who do the specific retaining-wall work they need.

What we do

Retaining walls are a narrow specialty inside landscaping, masonry and concrete work. Plenty of companies list them as a service, but fewer can tell you why a wall is leaning or design drainage for a tall one. We publish plain-language guides on cost, repair and drainage, and a directory that records which retaining-wall services each contractor has shown they offer.

Who runs this site

RetainingWallGuide is an independent guide and contractor directory. We don’t build, repair or inspect walls ourselves.

How we make money

Basic contractor listings are free and show the contractor’s own phone number and website. We don’t charge anyone for calls or website visits. When a homeowner asks us to pass their project to a contractor through our request form, that contractor may pay us for the request. Contractors can also pay for sponsored placement, which is always labelled. Payment never changes what we say a contractor does, and we don’t sell your details to multiple contractors at once.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t build, repair or inspect walls.
  • We don’t diagnose problems from photos or descriptions.
  • We don’t claim a contractor is licensed, insured or “verified” unless we have current evidence of that specific claim.

Read our editorial policy and how we review contractors.
